NOTICE
CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET) – FEBRUARY 2016
The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi will be conducting the 9th Edition of Central Teacher
Eligibility Test (CTET) on 21-02-2016 (Sunday) for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class
I to VIII. Candidates can apply only On-Line for CTET-FEB 2016 on CTET website –www.ctet.nic.in

Applicability
(i) The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and
schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and
Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.
(ii) CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
(iii) Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET
conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not
to conduct the State TET.
(iv) According to CBSE Affiliation Bye-Law 53, prescribing the minimum qualifications for teachers to teach
various subjects in Classes I to VIII in the schools Affiliated to CBSE stands amended to that extent and it shall
be mandatory that the teachers appointed hereinafter i.e. 6th March 2012 to teach classes I to VIII in the Schools
affiliated to the CBSE shall qualify/pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test or Teacher Eligibility Test (TET),
conducted by the appropriate Central/ State Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the
NCTE for this purpose.

Important Note : Admission shall be based on marks obtained by the candidate in All India (Written Test) JEE-examination to be held on April 30th, 2016. Allotment of Institute shall strictly be in order of merit & rank. No group discussions or personal interviews are involved in this admission process.
Online Application for JEE-2016
Eligibility
A pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2016 on provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or latest by 30-09-2016.
The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, his/her admission will stand cancelled.
Qualifying Examinations for Indian Students
- Plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.
- Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in a foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education.
- H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects.
