Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Invites Applications for Ph.D Scholarships 2015

Applications are invited by Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai for Ph.D Scholarships for students pursuing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer & System Sciences & Science Education and integrated Ph.D+M.Sc  in Mathematics, Biology and integrated Ph.D in Physics offered at Bangalore and Mumbai campuses for the session 2015.
Scholarship Details:
  • For Ph.D Programs: Students receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 16,000/- (enhanced to Rs 18,000/- after registration) and an annual contingency grant of Rs 20,000/-, in addition to a tuition grant covering the annual fees.  The annual fee is Rs 4000/-.
  • Integrated Ph.D Programs: Students receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 16,000/- (enhanced to Rs 18,000/- from third year onwards, subject to passing the comprehensive exam/registration), in addition to tuition grant covering the annual fees.

Periyar University, Salem Invites Applications for University Research Fellowships 2014

Applications are invited by Periyar University (PU), Salem for University Research Fellowships (URF) offered in various departments for the session 2014.

Scholarship Details:
  • Duration is 2 years and is extendable for the 3rd year, if necessary.
  • It includes stipend of Rs.5, 000/- per month with contingency of Rs.5, 000/- per year for URF.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who have passed the post graduate degree of this university or of any other university in Tamil Nadu to have obtained a minimum 55% of marks in their respective subject. However, the minimum eligible marks obtained for SC/ST candidates is 50%.
How to Apply:
  • Application form can be obtained from the Registrar by sending a crossed demand draft for Rs.200/- (SC/ST candidates are eligible to have one application at free of cost) drawn in favour of The Registrar, Periyar University, Salem-11, payable at Salem with a self addressed envelope (25cmx12cm) stamped to the value of Rs.40/-.
  • The SC/ST candidates should enclose an attested copy of permanent community certificate and PG provisional certificate or degree certificate or mark statement of all the semester.

Scholarships 2015 applications invited by the Texas State University, USA

The Texas State University (TSU) of USA has invited applications for assured scholarships for the academic session of 2015 for students who are studying at the university.
Scholarship details:
President's honor scholarship: Total award of $32,000 ($8,000 annual).
Texas State achievement scholarship: Total award of $16,000 ($4,000 annual).
Eligibility Criteria:
Those applying for the President's honor scholarship must possess minimum 1400+/32+ SAT/ACT and must be amongst top 15% of graduating class or IB diploma or Cambridge Capstone Credential and for the Texas State Achievement Scholarship the candidates should have minimum 1200-1390/27-31 SAT/ACT.
Those international student who are a freshman or transfer student for the 2015-2016 academic years can also apply for the same.

To apply for the scholarships, the interested students are required to visit the official website to fill up the online application form.
Important dates:
The last date to apply for the same is December 15, 2014 for freshmen and for the transfer students it is March 1, 2015.

APSMFC, Minority students E-Schorlarship | Momascholarship, MAEF Applications

Useful scholarships for the minority students and also for Meritorious Girl students....

As  it is the joining time for the students to enter into their new era in education, the candidates need to plan their financial income through the scholarships which was implemented by the government to help the minority people for their education to proceed without any problems. We have some information on scholarships like Momascholarship, APSMFC and MAEF Scholarships.

Momascholarships:
This scholarship is for the candidates who are studying in india and can apply to this scholarship by Merit-Cum or for Post Matric scholarship schemes through www.momascholarship.gov.in we will explain these two in detail.

For Merit-Cum means based scholarship, the candidates who are willing to apply for the first time i.e., fresh applications for the year 2014-15 can apply till midnight of 30-9-2014 and the renewal scholarships can apply till midnight of 15-11-2014.

For post-metric scholarships the fresh applications can be applied till 15-9-2014 and for the renewal applications the candidates can apply till midnight of 10-10-2014 

APSMFC Scholarships is for the minority students in AP and Telangana and these are for pre-metric and as well as post metric. The candidates who are eligible for this scholarships can be apply throughwww.apsmfc.com

MAEF scholarship is meant for the girl students. Maulana Azad Education Foundation are giving scholarships to the meritorious girl students and these scholarships are open from 1st July for both offline and online. Those girl students, who have got 55% in class 10th examination and got admission in class 11th in the year when result of 10th exam is declared, are eligible to apply for this scholarship scheme. National Law University, Delhi: Research Fellowship programme

National Law University, Delhi, and the Centre for Communication Governance (CCG) have invited applications for its research fellowship programme for the session 2014-15. Eligible candidates can apply latest by August 2.
Details:
It covers three broad areas, namely:
Civil Liberties Privacy,
Surveillance & Big Data;
Internet Governance
It shall be a full-time course for a duration of one year or two years.
Eligibility:
The candidates having a degree in law, public policy, management or the social sciences are eligible to apply. Candidates from other disciplines, who satisfy the remainder of the eligibility requirement, may address a brief letter of inquiry to ccg@nludelhi.ac.in in order to determine their suitability.
How to apply:
In order to apply, candidates are required to send the desired documents to the "Registrar, National Law University, Delhi at registrar@nludelhi.ac.in". The documents include:
Current Curriculum Vitae;
Contact details for two referees. Referees must be informed that they might be contacted for an oral reference or a brief written reference;
One academic writing sample of between 2000 and 2500 words (essay or extract, published or unpublished);
One piece of writing explaining a technical or academic idea or research outcome to general audiences. A 750 word outline for a research paper that the candidate proposes to produce over the course of the Fellowship, reflecting literature review.
Remuneration:
Rs 30, 000 to Rs 50, 000 per month

UGC Scholarships

University Grants Commission offering scholarships for university rankers started newly.
Details

  •  This scholarship is applicable for non-professional courses like LifeSciences, Commerce, Physical Sciences, Languages, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Social Sciences.
  • It is applicable for students who pursuing the above courses on regular basis.
  • Selection process is based on merit.
  • The selected students are given Rs.2000 (for 10 months) for the period of two years.
Eligibility

 Students should occupy first and second places in the respected degree courses.
