 CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET) – FEBRUARY 2016 

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi will be conducting the 9th Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 21-02-2016 (Sunday) for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII. Candidates can apply only On-Line for CTET-FEB 2016 on CTET website –www.ctet.nic.in

Applicability

(i) The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi. 

(ii) CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET. 

(iii) Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET. 

(iv) According to CBSE Affiliation Bye-Law 53, prescribing the minimum qualifications for teachers to teach various subjects in Classes I to VIII in the schools Affiliated to CBSE stands amended to that extent and it shall be mandatory that the teachers appointed hereinafter i.e. 6th March 2012 to teach classes I to VIII in the Schools affiliated to the CBSE shall qualify/pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test or Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), conducted by the appropriate Central/ State Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for this purpose.

Important Note : Admission shall be based on marks obtained by the candidate in All India (Written Test) JEE-examination to be held on April 30th, 2016. Eligibility

A pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2016 on provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or latest by 30-09-2016.
The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, his/her admission will stand cancelled.

Qualifying Examinations for Indian Students
  • Plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.
  • Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in a foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education.
  • H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
  • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects.

    Applicants paying the application fee online will be directed to the payment gateway.  Follow the instructions and complete the payment transaction.  If the transaction is not completed due to technical reasons, you may login to your account and check the application/payment status.  After successful completion of the transaction, please login to your account and check the payment status.  If the payment is not complete, you may attempt paying online again.  A maximum of five attempts are allowed for online payment. 

    Normally, online payments are received within 2 working days and a auto email is sent by the system acknowledging the payment.  If your transaction has been successful and your account has been debited and you do not receive the acknowledgement email within 7 days, neither your payment status is updated in your account, you may write to the email ids as given in "contact info" section.

    Osmania University announces Correspondence MBA MCA admissions 2014

    Eligibility

    MBA: Should have passed Bachelors Degree Examination of Osmania University or any other University recognized by Osmania University with minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC categories) in the qualifying Examination

    Information about the Test 

    The test is designed to measure the candidate's ability to think systematically, to use the verbal and mathematical skills and to assess his/her aptitude for admission into MBA/MCA programme The Test emphasizes accuracy 
    Therefore, the candidate is required to go through the instructions carefully 
    This is an objective type test and the questions are of multiple choice. 
    Out of the given options, the candidate has to choose the correct answer

    Eligibility

    Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree (from a recognised university) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% (In the case of SC / ST candidates there will be a relaxation of 5%). Selection will be through an Entrance Test and Interview
    Candidates who have passed UGC / CSIR / Fellowship holders shall be exempted from the Written Test; but they will need to take up the Interview.
    Candidates who are qualified for CA or ACS or ICWA with basic degree are also eligible to register for Ph.D. in this category
    Candidates who have qualified for Masters Degree prior to 1990-91 with no less than 50% marks are also eligible to register for Ph.D. programme
    M.Phil. degree holders will get a waiver for part of the course work of Ph.D. programme
    Candidates sponsored by organizations are also eligible to apply subject to their fulfillment of the above mentioned qualifications

    Duration of the Programme 

    3+ years
    Terms & Programme Content 

    Pre Ph.D. Course work
    Candidates admitted into the Ph.D. programme are required to complete pre Ph.D. course work comprising two terms over a total duration of one year.

    The first two semesters (first year) of the PhD programme is devoted to course work. Successful completion of course work would confirm the registration. Two years after successful completion of course work, the student is eligible to submit the thesis.
    Evaluation of Pre Ph.D.Candidates will be awarded a pass in Pre Ph.D. Course upon:
    Securing an aggregate of 50% marks in the term end exams, and a minimum of 40% marks in each subject
    Award of pass grade by the Guide and Co-Guide for the Literature Review and Synopsis
    SeminarOn successful completion of the Pre Ph.D. programme, an open Seminar shall be presented by the Research Scholar wherein he is expected to defend the research proposal. The Seminar shall be presented before an Evaluation Committee consisting of 3 experts, of which at least one shall be from Jain University in addition to the Guides. The Committee will recommend the suitability of the candidate for registration into the Ph.D. programme.

    Successful completion of Pre Ph.D. programme
    Recommendation of the Evaluation Committee
    Approval of the Ph.D. Registration Committee
    Note:
    Prior to registration, the student should furnish original certificates / documents and credentials that will be prescribed by JU from time to time.
    Progress Report

    The Scholar should submit the progress report in the prescribed format to the Guide for his / her approval every 6 months. Non submission of two consecutive reports will result in cancellation of registration.
    Work in Progress Seminar
    The Scholar will be required to participate in an open seminar once in 6 months as per the Calendar notified by the University, wherein he shall present the progress made by him/her in his/her chosen area of Research.

    The candidate should submit his / her application to the University, in the prescribed form with a DD of 1000/- INR in the favour of Jain University, payable at Bangalore, along with other necessary documents; viz., degree certificate, marks cards and such other documents prescribed along with receipt for having paid the prescribed fee. In case of employed candidates, no objection / deputation certificate from the employer, for pursuing research is necessary.

    The candidate should submit two copies of the synopsis of the proposed research along with his / her application
    Eligible candidates will be required to take up a Pre Ph.D. Entrance examination comprising an Aptitude Test, a Subject Paper and an Interview
    Candidates who have passed UGC / CSIR / Fellowship holders shall be exempted from the Written Test; but they will need to take up the Interview.
    Reservations for SC, ST and other candidates shall be as per the guidelines of the Government of India

    Entrance Test DetailsThe entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration and for 90 marks and the paper will have two sections:
    Section A: General and Research Aptitude (45 marks)

    Both sections will have multiple choice questions and short answer questions. The syllabus for Section B would be at the Masters level in the concerned subject.
