AP PGECET 2016: Registration, Exam Pattern, Dates

AP PGECET 2016 is the Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test, a state level entrance test owning by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK). AP PGECET is conducted by the JNTUK on the behalf of the A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), a statutory Body of the Government of A.P., Hyderabad. The students who want to go for the postgraduate in engineering, technology and pharmacy can opt this test. This is the AP entrance test for ME/M.Tech/M.Pharmacy courses. The qualified candidates of GATE/GPAT need not to take this test as they are admitted on the basis of their score card of GATE/GPAT.


Five Regional Test Centres for the AP PGECET exam are:
Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Guntur, Tirupathi, Anantapuram.

Application Form

The application form of AP PGECET 2016 will be available online only. No offline facility will be provided to the candidates to apply for the AP PGECET 2016 entrance exam. The application form will be available from the 2nd week of March, 2016 and the notifications will be issued from the first week of March, 2016. The dates are not announced yet, as the dates are confirmed we will update it instantly on our website. Only the candidates secured 50 % (GEN/OBC) and 45% (SC/ST) are eligible to appear in the test.

Important Dates

Notifications will be commenced: 2nd week of March, 2016
Date of Examination: in the month of May, 2016 (last week)
Starting date of online application: 2nd week of March, 2016
Last date of the online form submission: 3rd week of April, due date candidates fill the form till 3rd week of May, 2016 but with a penalty of increment in the application fee (increased on the daily basis).

Admit Card Downloading date: in the month of May, 2016.
Application Fee: Applicants have to pay the fee of Rs. 500/- for unreserved category candidates and Rs. 250/- for reserved category candidates. The candidates can apply for more than one postgraduate exam under AP PGECET, but they have to pay separate application fee for each exam. Interested candidates can pay the application fee through credit/debit card or also pay the fee at AP online centre.

Application form Procedure

The candidates can get the application form either from the AP online centre or from the official website of the AP PGECET. Firstly, a candidate has to make the payment then, he/she will be able to fill the form. Follow the following steps to complete the application form:
  • After visiting the form online from the official webiste , the candidate will be able to view the application form.
  • Now fill all the relevant details required in the form.
  • Enter all your academic and personal details in the form.
  • Upload the scanned photograph and signature carefully in the prescribed space.
  • Click on ‘agree’ button before submitting the form.
  • After the completion and submission of the form, a unique registration id is generated. Keep this registration ID for future reference as it will be used at the time of downloading admit card and view the score.
  • As the candidates click on ‘Confirm’ button, a confirmation SMS has been sent to your mail id and the mail also contains the copy of the filled application form.
Note: The candidates can make correction even after the final submission of the form by the use of their registration id, DOB and Mobile number and further apply for corrections.

Exam Pattern

The examination of AP PGECET 2016 will consists of 120 multiple choice questions. The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours, and the exam will be conducted in 2 shifts: forenoon and afternoon. The timing of forenoon will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and afternoon timing will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. For each right answer, one mark will be awarded and the cutoff mark in the test will be 25%. The language of the question paper of the entrance exam of AP PGECET will be English only.

Admit Card

Download the AP PGECET Hall Ticket 2016 in the month of May, 2016 from the official website by entering your valid registration ID (received during filling of the application form), DOB and registered mobile number.

Result

The AP PGECET 2016 result will be available to the candidates in the official website, candidates can check their result after three weeks from the date of examination.

TS PGECET 2016: Application Form, Exam Pattern, Dates

TS PGECET 2016  (Telangana Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test) is the entrance test of the Telangana state for the admission in the courses offered by the TS PGECET associated colleges/universities. TS PGECET is conducted by the University College of Engineering, Osmania University on the behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), a statutory Body of the Government of Telangana, Hyderabad. The postgraduate programs offered in the TS PGECET exam associated university are M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, M.Arch.
Two regional test centres of TS PGECET 2016 Entrance Test:
Hyderabad and Warangal.

Application Form

TSCHE has invited an application form of TS PGECET 2016 for the academic year 2016-2017 and the commencing date of the exam will be from second week of March, 2016 and the forms are available till the last week of April, 2016. If the candidates want to apply after the last date of online submission of the fee, then the candidate need to pay some extra fee along with the application fee as the penalty for the payment after due date. GATE/GPAT candidates are not required to apply for TS PGECET entrance test as they are selected on the basis of their qualified score in GATE/GPAT. No offline facility is providing for filling the application form.

Application Fee

Fees for the application form of TS PGECET  2016 are finalized differently for the candidates on the basis of their category and are as follows:
  1. Reserved Category Candidates (SC/ST) – Rs. 250/-.
  2. Unreserved Category Candidates (GEN/OBC) – Rs 500/-.

Mode of payment

Payment for the application fee of TS PGECET 2016 can be done through the credit/debit card. Also, the candidates can pay cash to TS online centre against application fee in order to apply for the TS PGECET 2016 and keep the application receipt of paid application form for your future record.


How to Apply

Follow the following steps to apply for the TS PGECET 2016:
  • Candidates are advised to visit the official portal of TS PGECET 2016
  • Click on Online Application Form; proceed towards the form and the payment procedure.
  • Must choose the mode of payment before applying and note your transaction id after making the payment through credit/debit card.
  • The candidates should upload their scanned passport size photograph and signature in the allotted space.
NOTE: The size of the scanned uploaded passport size must be less than 40 KB and the size of uploaded signature should not exceed 30 KB. Both signature and photo are required to upload in jpg/jpeg format only.
  • Before the submission of the form, click on ‘agree’ button that shows that whatever is declared in the form by you is correct and you ensures the guarantee of it.
  • As you click on submit button, preview of the filled application form will be shown to you and a registration ID from the conducting authority is displayed to you.
  • Must retain that registration ID for future usage (required at the time of admit card).
  • After verifying all the entered details, now you can click on Confirm button.
  • You get the confirmation SMS from the TS PGECET conducting authority after the submission of the form successfully.
  • Copy of the filled application form has been sent to your mail id by the entrance exam conducting authority.

Exam Pattern

There are total 120 multiple type questions from the subject you are applying for. The timing of the test will be 2 hours, and the test will be conducted in 2 sessions of forenoon and afternoon. Forenoon timing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and the afternoon timing will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The students are applicable to take more than one test but the condition is that separate fee will be charged for each entrance exam.

Admit Card

The students can download the TS PGECET Hall Ticket 2016 during the last week of May, 2016 from the official website. The candidates can download their admit card by the registration ID and the test selected during the filling of the application form. Without admit card, candidates are not allowed to enter in the examination hall.
