AIMA MAT September 2014 registrations to conclude on August 23

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for the upcoming session 2014 is scheduled to be held on September 7 and 13. The All India Management Association (AIMA) will conduct the examination for admissions to various MBA and management courses across the nation and abroad. MAT is held four times in a year, in the months of February, May, September and December.
Those possessing a Bachelor's degree are eligible to apply. The registrations for the same end on August 23 though the candidates can submit the online registration forms at AIMA, New Delhi by August 25.
Candidates can obtain the MAT bulletin by paying Rs 1, 200. The forms can be collected from any of the branches of Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, listed study centres of AIMA or from AIMA, New Delhi. Besides, candidates can acquire the application forms by sending a demand draft of Rs 1, 200 to be drawn in favour of 'All India Management Association, New Delhi'.
Once, candidates fill in all the details in the application forms, it should be forwarded to "The Manager-CMS (MAT-Online), All India Management Association, Management House, 14 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003".

The AIMA MAT paper-based test is scheduled to be conducted on September 7, ahead of the online test which shall take place on September 13. The paper-based test will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm whereas the computer-based test will be conducted in different time slots at specific test venues.
The candidates who register will be able to download their admit cards by August 29. No admit card will be issued or dispatched separately.

UPSC National Defence Academy and Naval Academy 2015 exam dates

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the dates for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy examinations 2015. The NDA NA examinations are conducted twice a year for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy and for admission to the Indian Naval Academy. Candidates selected for the Indian Naval Academy will undergo a four-year B.Tech course before joining the Executive and/or Technical Branches of the Navy, while NDA students will undergo cadet training.

Date of exam: April 19, 2015

NDA NA Exam (II) 2015Date of notification: June 20, 2015
Last date for application: July 17, 2015
Date of exam: September 27, 2015

Eligibility for the NDA NA Exam depends on the wing applied for. Candidates interested in the Army wing of the National Defence Academy should have completed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised education board or university in any stream. Candidates interested in the Air Force and Naval Wings of the National Defence Academy should have completed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics from a recognised education board or university in any stream.

Selection is based on performance in a written examination followed by the interview procedure by the Services Selection Board. The written test includes two parts: Mathematics and General Ability Test.

JNTU-ANANTAPUR : Promotion Rules of B.Tech / B.Pharmacy For the Academic Year 2014-2015

For the academic year 2013-14, the University has granted certain concessions in the credit based promotion rules for the B.Tech/B.Pharmacy students (vide read.1).

Certain students have requested the University to extend the same concessions in the credit based promotion rules for the academic year 2014-15.

The Standing Committee for Academic Senate has considered the requisition and approved to extend certain amendments in the credit based promotion rules of R09 regulations for the academic year 2014-15 (vide read.2). Accordingly, the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor has approved and is pleased to issue the orders with the following amendments :

Requirements for B.Tech/B.Pharmacy Regular students to get promotion from II year to III year (Academic Year 2014-15)
RegulationTotal No. of credits for promotion from Second year to Third year : Rule (amended)
R0932 credits secured from all the Exams (both regular and Supplementary) conducted upto May/June 2014, excluding the Performance in II B.Tech/II B.Pharmacy II sem Exam.
R0734 credits secured from all the Exams (both regular and Supplementary) conducted upto May/June 2014, Excluding the Performance in II B.Tech/II B.Pharmacy II sem Exam.

Requirements for B.Tech/B.Pharmacy Regular Students to get promotion from III year to IV year (Academic year 2014-15)
RegulationTotal No. of credits for promotion from Third year to Fourthyear : Rule (amended)
R0954 credits secured from all the Exams (both regular and Supplementary) conducted upto May/June 2014, excluding the Performance in III B.Tech/III B.Pharmacy II sem Exam.
R0756 credits secured from all the Exams (both regular and Supplementary) conducted upto May/June 2014, excluding the Performance in III B.Tech/III B.Pharmacy II sem Exam.

Requirements for B.Tech/B.Pharmacy (Lateral Entry) Students to get promotion from III year to IV year (Academic year 2014-15)

R0934 credits secured from all the Exams (both regular and Supplementary) conducted upto May/June 2014, excluding the Performance in III B.Tech/III B.Pharmacy II sem Exam.
R0734 credits secured from all the Exams (both regular and Supplementary) conducted upto May/June 2014, excluding the Performance in III B.Tech/III B.Pharmacy II sem Exam.

These orders shall come into force with immediate effect, subject to ratification by M&DC Of the University.
